Be Productive – Daily Check List

Be Productive – Daily Check List

Welcome every morning with a smile. Look on a new day as another special gift from your Creator, another golden opportunity to complete what you were unable to finish yesterday. Be a self-starter. Let your first hour set the theme of success and positive action that is certain to echo through your entire day. Today will never happen again. Don't waste it with a false start or no start at all. You were not born to fail.
~Og Mandino

Getting productive is doing what is important to you and bringing you nearer to your goals. A productive day is starting a new day organized and you are mentally and physically alert and fresh.

1.      Start a new day early: It indicates that there is something to look forward to and you also avoid rushing about to get things done.

2.      Exercise or meditate: To positively tune your mind and body so that you feel good about yourself and start a new day with enthusiasm and excitement

3.      Have a nutritious breakfast: It gives you the energy you need to meet the demand of a challenging day.

4.      The right frame of mind: Get motivated by reading inspirational quotes instead of reading the daily news which is filled with despair and hopelessness.

5.      Be ready with your to-do list: Do  what is important first thing in the morning when your energy is at it speak

6.      Focus on one task at a time and avoid multitasking and distractions.

7.      Take a break before moving on to a new task. Drink water throughout the day

8.      Delegate whenever possible: You can’t do everything by yourself.

9.      Get away from your work and enjoy your lunch outside: It is not healthy to eat and work and it is counterproductive.

10.   Downtime: Do other tasks like checking emails, filing, and looking for information on the Net at the end of the day because the jobs are time-consuming and you can kill time productively.

11.  Get ready the tasks for the following day and tidy up your workplace.

12.  Get physical in the great outdoors to get fresh air like jogging to release stress and regain your composure after a hard day’s work.

13.  Family time: Don’t bring work home, leave work at work. It is family time at home. Have dinner together, help with household chores, check your children’s homework and do a reading for self-development.

14.  Write a gratitude journal to focus on positive things for the day.

15.  Get ready a to-do list for the following day. It is a daily productive habit.

16.  Sleep early so that you can get up early. You can’t burn the candle at both ends.

Finish every day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt have crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be cumbered with your old nonsense. This day is all that is good and fair. It is too dear, with its hopes and invitations, to waste a moment on yesterdays.
~Ralph Waldo Emerson
