10 Bad Habits of the Ugly Malaysians to Avoid

According to an article,  HOW POLITE ARE WE, published by Reader’s Digest about a recent survey of 36 cities in the world, New Yorkers are the most courteous people in the world with a score of 80% and the people of Kuala Lumpur are among the least courteous people in the world scoring 37% and occupying position 34 out of   36 cities. Singapore may be one of the riches countries in the world. Its people are also among the least courteous people in the world posting 42% and occupying position No.32. 

What are the top ten wrong doings of Malaysians? Here is the list, not in any particular order, according to a local news item in China Press:

1.      Sounding the car horn indiscriminately
2.      Do not like to say thank you
3.      Do not give up seats to more deserving people like senior citizens in public transport.
4.      Do not obey notices such as no smoking sign
5.      Snatching a parking bay while another car is waiting
6.      Not civic-mindedness like spitting in public, throwing things out from moving vehicles and not holding the door open for the person behind you.
7.       Trying to get on a bus without letting people getting off first.
8.      Talk loudly during a telephone conversation in public
9.      Refuse to open door and let people in
10.  Lateness is a norm
