A Don't Sweat the Small Stuff Treasury - A Special Collection for the Office

A Don't Sweat the Small Stuff Treasury - A Special Collection for the Office

This book is written by Richard Carlson, Ph.D. It is a very small book. It’s slightly smaller than your memo pad on your table. However, the content is powerful. It deals with stress in the office. Some of the topics are:

Remind Yourself that When You Die, Your "In Basket” Won’t Be empty.
Become an Early Riser.
Brighten Up Your Working Environment
Take Your Breaks.
Life Is a Test. It Is Only a Test.
Repeat to Yourself,” Life Isn’t an Emergency”.
Make a List of Your Personal Priorities
Create a Bridge Between Your spirituality and Your Work

I have learnt a few things from this book to reduce my stress:

There is no need to be in a rush to complete your work because work can never be finished. When I wake up early I have more time to myself to do what I need to do without being disturbed in the morning. Put a pot of plant in the office to be in harmony with nature. Take s short break and you will work better. When you have to do it, do it now. Do not take life seriously; live a balanced life, besides work you need to look after your family and friends and have fun.

Read this book to reduce your stress in the office and improve your personal life.
