Social Bookmarking Sites and Your Blog

Social Bookmarking Sites

It’s a good thing to bookmark your popular articles at social bookmarking sites. You expose your articles to those who don't visit your site. You also allow fans of the bookmarking sites to view your articles. The other thing is that you create one-way links to your site. All you need to do to bookmark your article is to submit the URL of the article and not the URL of your site. You are normally asked to supply the title of the article and a short description of the article. Here are some of the sites that I often bookmark my articles:

Propeller.com: You can submit topics on health & fitness, news, science & technology, and others (PageRank: 8/10, Traffic Rank: 1332)

Digg.com: This site is about technology, lifestyle, science, and entertainment. (PageRank: 8/10, TrafficRank: 260)

Dropjack.com: It accepts article and news items. (PageRank: 5/10, Traffic Rank: 135243).

Diigo.com: You can send articles on blogging, education, shopping, Google, health, and many other subjects. (PageRank: 4/10 Traffic Rank: 47738)

Twitter.com: Their tag line is “What are you doing?” So bookmark your latest articles there. (PageRank: 8/10, Traffic Rank: 878)

Mister-wong.com: It talks about politics, sport, web, entertainment, and other things (PageRank: 8/10 Traffic Rank 64569)

Jumptags.com: It is a revolutionary Web 2.0 social bookmarking web service for collecting, storing, sharing, and distributing web bookmarks, notes, RSS feeds, contacts, and much more. (PageRank: N/A Traffic Rank: 14119)

Yuppmarks.com: You can bookmark articles on blogging, technology, finance, sports, and others. (PageRank: 0/10, Traffic Rank: 458528)

Wirefan.com: It covers most of the subjects that you blog about such as health, Google, home, marketing, money, education, the internet, and more. (PageRank: 4/10, Traffic Rank: 88869)

When you submit articles check the site to ensure that they are relevant to the site. The other helpful hint is to check the tags. Submit articles to match popular tags listed as these are the subjects that the readers are interested in. Note: PageRank and Traffic Rank of all sites as of October 28, 2008
