Blogging is interesting, exciting, and very competitive. It is a level playing field. All things being equal accept your content and it is up to you to drive traffic to your blog. There is no chance for you to play politics and you can't depend on your friends and relatives. Your success depends on a worldwide audience.

According to Blogpulse, there are more than 107 million blogs out there. How do you fight for a place in the blogosphere with your name and your brand? Blogging is like riding a bicycle, the moment you stop paddling you fall. The most important thing to do is to keep your momentum by maintaining and managing your brand:

 • Keep on writing articles regularly and continuously about your niche to solve readers’ problems. Search engines will love your blog when your site is updated frequently.

 • Keep on bookmaking your articles to social bookmarking and social networking sites. Market your articles to a wider readership.

 • Keep on networking on the Internet to get more people to visit your blog. Network at Twitter, Facebook, Plaxo, and LinkedIn with like-minded people

 • Keep networking offline as well: One of the ways is to distribute your business cards to everyone you meet. Secure write-ups about you and your blog in the newspapers and magazines. Help new bloggers to create and establish their brand.

 • Monitoring feedback from readers. Check your Google Alerts and do a Twitter search to find out with others are saying about you and your blog. Take constructive criticism seriously and improve upon it.

When your blog is good you will get noticed but when it is not, your blog will be ignored. .It is a cruel and realistic world.
