No man is an island. We are independent and at the same time, we are also interdependent. It is essential that we cultivate a healthy relationship with others. The fact is that we treat others the way we want to be treated. Here are the 10 tips:

1. Don’t judge a book by its cover: Accept others with openness. Do not form a judgment without a deeper understanding of the other person. Accept others as they are. Accept their uniqueness. We shall never have friends if we expect to find them without fault.

2. A person’s name: In his book, How to win friends & Influence People, Dale Carnegie mentions that a person's name is to that person the sweetest and most important sound in any language.

3. Talk to others: When you start a conversation with the person next to you, you actually acknowledge his presence, and that makes him happy.

4. Be cheerful: Smile at others, and people will smile at you. When you show an angry face those people around you are wondering what is wrong with you or them.

5. Lend a hand: When you perform random acts of kindness you feel compassionate and capable. People are impacted positively by your kind gestures and it makes you happy.

6. Show an interest in others: According to Dale Carnegie," You can make more friends in two months by becoming interested in other people than you can in two years by trying to get other people interested in you.”

7. Praise and criticize: Praise others in public and when you must criticize do it privately,

8. Think from the people's point of view: Before you do anything think what you do will affect others. Always ask the opinion of others.

9. Be Courageous: When you have done something wrong admit it that you have made a mistake.

10. Be polite and humble: Say "Please” and "Thank you" to others. You can be rich but you don't have to be boastful.

According to Alfred Adler, the famous Viennese psychologist,” It is the individual who is not interested in his fellow men who has the greatest difficulties in life and provides the greatest injury to others. It is from among such individuals that all human failures spring."
