Honey is a Many-Splendored Thing

Honey

Honey is a sweet delight. I always keep a bottle handy at home. It is a wonderful way to quench thirst on a hot day with a refreshing drink by mixing cold water with honey. Like all things natural, honey is full of health and medicinal values.

Honey is made up of sugars like fructose and glucose. You can also find minerals like magnesium, and potassium in it. Honey is also a great source of vitamin C and a variety of B vitamins such as niacin and riboflavin.

Here is some of the goodness of honey:

 · As it has anti-inflammatory properties, honey can be used to cure sore throat and heal wounds easily. Honey is also a natural antiseptic. When you have a cut you can apply honey to it to prevent infections. Honey can be applied to burns as well.

 · You can also treat stomach ulcers with honey.

 · It is also a tonic drink to boost your energy.

 · Honey is rich in amino acids. Their presence is induction of its antioxidant capacity. Antioxidants slow the aging process by neutralizing free radicals.

 · Tryptophan is also present in honey. It is a natural relaxant. It helps reduce anxiety and depression and induce you to get normal sleep.

 · Honey is a good moisturizer. It helps reduce skin problems like pimples.

 · Honey increases calcium retention so that you can stay younger longer.

 · It is rich in aspartic acid, an important amino acid that is involved in the rejuvenation processes, especially in the rejuvenation of sex glands.

Let honey be a part of your daily healthy living.
