7 Signs You Have Too Many Toxins In Your Life

7 Signs You Have Too Many Toxins In Your Life
You think you’re healthy, but you don’t feel vibrant. You struggle to find the energy to get through the day. You’re irritable. Your stomach isn’t acting right. And all those headaches!
These types of ailments affect many of us in our daily lives. They’re not serious enough to warrant a trip to the doctor — or maybe you tried only to be told there was nothing wrong — but they still tend to drag you down, wearing away your resistance and leaving you feeling like you’re just getting old.
I have good news for you — it probably has nothing to do with aging. Instead, you may simply be surrounded by too many toxins.
Not sure? Here are seven signs to look for — and how you can clean up your system and feel better in 30 days!
Note: Always check with your doctor to eliminate any possible medical conditions as causes of these symptoms.
1. Consistent fatigue
Even if you’re sleeping well, you may fight to get through the day. This could be a sign that your body is working too hard to get rid of the toxins you’re pouring into it. How do you cope with fatigue? If your answer is “more coffee” or “sweet foods,” you can bet that you’re only making the problem worse. That fatigue could also be in response to hormone disruptors that are zapping your immune system.
2. Stubborn weight gain
It’s never easy to lose weight, but if you’re exercising daily and cutting back on calories and you’re still putting on the pounds, you could be looking at a hormonal problem. Strangely enough, our natural hormone function can be greatly affected by the toxins in our foods and personal care products. You need a complete detox of your diet and personal care routine to give your body a fighting chance.

3. Bad breath
You brush and brush, chew gum, rinse, and swallow breath mints, and still, you can’t get rid of it. Bad breath is often related to digestive problems, but it can also mean that your liver is struggling to get rid of the toxins in your body. Until you tackle the problem from the source, you’ll continue to scare away anyone who comes close!
4. Constipation
The intestines get rid of a lot of toxins every day of our lives. When we’re constipated, we’re storing up all those toxins, allowing them to negatively affect our bodies. In addition to stomach upset, constipation can cause headaches, aches and pains, and tiredness. It can also be related to the toxins in your life, especially if you’re consuming a lot of processed foods filled with chemicals, pesticides, and preservatives.
5. Sensitivity to scents
Strong reactions to smells — particularly fragrances — might mean that you’re simply sensitive to chemicals, which many of us are. It can also mean that your body is fighting toxic overload. Particularly if you suffer headaches or stomach upset simply from scents, this may be the case.

6. Muscle aches and pains
If you can’t tie these to your workout yesterday, could be that the toxins in your life are working away at your muscles and joints. This is more likely if you experience muscle aches on a regular basis.
7. Skin reactions
Acne, rashes, and other skin problems may signal a toxic overload. Acne, in particular, can be related to the toxins in our diet or skincare products. Puffy eyes and eczema or psoriasis outbreaks can also be signs that you’ve just reached your toxic limit.
My Solutions
  • If you find yourself suffering from any of these seven symptoms, here are a few tips that may help:
  • Support your liver with things like dandelion tea, parsley, cilantro, and milk thistle.
  • Drink more water — it helps flush toxins out of your body.
  • Exercise at least 30 minutes a day. Exercise gets the circulation moving, helping to move toxins along.
  • Get a good daily supply of digestion-supportive probiotics, found in kefir, yogurt, sauerkraut, Kombucha tea, miso soup, tempeh, and kimchi.
  • Always brush your tongue — even better, use a tongue scraper—when brushing your teeth.
  • Practice deep breathing — we get rid of a lot of the toxins in our bodies through our lungs.
  • Use only natural skincare products that are free of fragrances, sulfates, phthalates, parabens, and other potentially toxic ingredients, and always read labels.
  • Choose clean, whole, and organic foods whenever possible!
Here's to living a healthy, toxin-free life!

The Two Simple Things Everyone Needs for a Healthy Body

Healthy Body Healthy Mind

There are no shortcuts or hidden secrets to a healthy and fit body. Only two things truly matter: What you put in and what you put out.
When it comes down to it, your body is a lot like a business in that numbers must be closely monitored. You wouldn't let months go by without studying your revenues and expenditures, right? Why should your body be any different?
I'm not an expert, just someone who woke up one day more than four years ago and wanted to make a change. Since then, I've lost about 40 pounds and reduced my body fat to approximately 10 percent. I'm now in the best shape of my life.
So how did I do it?
Food. Our bodies need energy and we get that energy by eating. But what we eat and how much we eat impacts what shape we take.
The easiest way to monitor food intake is by looking at the number of calories in food. (If you have existing health concerns, there are other factors to consider.) Calories are a measure of energy that food and beverages provide our bodies. We need them to do the things we do every day -- whether that's walking, working, or even sleeping.
If we consume too many calories, we're likely to develop health issues and become overweight or obese (approximately one-third of Americans are obese). Too little and we can't function properly. That's why diets that require starving yourself aren't practical, as they put your body in starvation mode and can result in weight gain.
The first step is figuring out how many calories you should be consuming daily. That usually depends on your gender, age, height, weight, and activity level.
This sounds complicated, but it doesn’t have to be. To determine calories, abide by suggested serving sizes of food. Unless you're a wizard, though, actual serving sizes can be difficult to determine, not to mention extremely misleading.
This is why I use a kitchen scale to measure almost everything I consume -- fruits, vegetables, meat, coffee creamer, candy, you name it.  I then chart what I eat in a food diary on my smartphone. I use the free app MyFitnessPal (available on both iOS and Android), but there are others available as well.
I do this for two reasons. The most obvious is to track how many calories I'm consuming
throughout the day.
The second is to actually modify my behavior. I love food, and I tend to not have self-control when food is placed in front of me. Knowing I have to track what I eat makes me consider the decision. Eating becomes deliberate, making it much easier to cut down on snacking.
With this in mind, no foods are off limit: Pizza, bacon, ice cream, turducken (or not) are all fair game. As the old saying goes, "Everything in moderation." You just have to stay at your calorie goal.
At the start, you may want to limit going out to eat. Once you begin to get a sense of food's caloric worth, you can ease up and be a bit more liberal. Although, I still think it's best to prepare your own meals.

Fitness.  As entrepreneurs and corporate employees, we tend to be focused on our work, which can result in sitting at our desks for hours. Our bodies demand physical activity, and without it, they weaken.
If you don't have a workout regimen, a good start is carving out 10 to 20 minutes a day to do an activity that raises your heart rate. That's it. I suggest a quick jog or a ride on a stationary bike. Along with cardio, a few reps of strength-building exercises -- whether that's push-ups or lifting weights -- also helps.
The goal is to get into a habit. As you start working out every day, you can increase the time and intensity. But it's important that you don't overdo it, as you're likely to stop if you push too hard, too fast.
Try to also sneak in any opportunity to walk. If it's a choice between a five-minute drive or a 15-minute walk, some days choose the latter. During workdays, a midday walk is a great way to reduce stress and even boost creative thinking.
With these factors in hand, you should start seeing results quickly. It goes without saying that sometimes results are more difficult to see, especially at first. You don’t want your inability to notice striking differences -- on the scale or in the feel of your clothes -- to discourage you from continuing. This is not a “lose weight fast” fad diet: This is a lifestyle change that aims to make you healthier and lose weight at a reasonable rate.
It’s sometimes hard to remember what I looked like in January of 2010, but I know I didn't get to where I am overnight. Start easy, stick with it, and it will get easier for these habits to become second nature.

Natural Remedy for Joint Pain

My experience

As a senior citizen, I used to take Glucosamine and Calcium carbonate plus Vitamin D for the promotion of healthy joints. However it is not effective to eradicate joint pain. I was recently introduced to embryo rice. So instead of eating white rice I switch to embryo rice as rice is the stable food for Asian people.
After consuming for a few months, I don’t feel any pain walking up the stairs. Moreover, my joints are more flexible than before and when I perform stretching I don’t hear the cracking of the joints.

Why it is effective

It is loaded with natural goodness for the promotion of strong bones such as calcium, iron magnesium and vitamin B1 (thiamin). However it is not all. Embryo rice also contains phosphorous, vitamin B2 (Riboflavin), B3 (Niacin), B5 (Panthothenic Acid), B6 (Pyridoxin) B9 (folic acid), zinc, manganese, potassium, sodium and dietary fiber.

Embryo rice and longevity

According to information on the Net, Japan is a country with the longest average human life span in the world. Recent report states that average age of man is 81 years and woman is 86 years old. One of the reasons is that the Japanese consume embryo rice regularly. Japanese has consumed embryo rice more than half a century.

The difference between white rice and embryo rice

From left: white rice, embryo rice, brown rice

The anatomy of rice

Embryo makes up only 3% of the rice grain but 66% of rice nutrition. It is the soul of rice. Brown rice is the rice grain with only the outermost layer of a grain of rice (the husk) removed. It has the most nutritious value. You will need an embryo rice machine to turn brown rice into embryo rice. An embryo rice machine turns bran and aleurone layer (the outermost cell layer of the endosperm) of brown rice into powdery bran form whilst endosperm and embryo parts form embryo rice.  When you cook embryo rice you will add the powdery bran.  It tastes just as good as white rice if not better. While white rice has almost all its nutrients striped off because the bran layer and germ are removed.

5 Secrets for a Healthy Heart

Heart attack

According to a popular local health magazine, there are five simple and easy ways to protect your heart:

1.      Teeth: What have your teeth got to do with your heart? According to Peter M. Spalding, DDS, associate professor in the department of growth and development at the University Of Nebraska Medical Center College Of Dentistry in Lincoln, if you’re not properly flossing and brushing to remove plaque, your risk for gum disease increases. And once gum disease has developed, you create an environment for bacteria that do not normally grow in your mouth. Gum disease causes your gums to bleed, bacteria can move into your bloodstream, setting up an inflammatory process in the blood vessels. The bacteria may increase your risk for heart disease by contributing to the formation of clots or further plaque build-up in your arteries that can interfere with blood flow to the heart. So, brushing, flossing, and taking care of your teeth and gums are good for your heart.

2.      Sleep: According to an article in Time magazine, Lack of Sleep Linked to Heart Problems, researchers at the University of Chicago report in the Journal of the American Medical Association that too little sleep can promote calcium buildup in the heart arteries, leading to the plaques that can then break apart and cause heart attacks and strokes. Insufficient sleep is also one of the causes of high blood pressure.

3.      Fish: Fish contain unsaturated fatty acids. It is an excellent source of omega-3 fatty acids. Fish like salmon, mackerel, herring, lake trout, sardines, and albacore tuna are high in omega-3 fatty acids.   Research has shown that eating fish decreases triglycerides, lowers blood pressure, reduces blood clotting, boosts immunity, and improves arthritis symptoms. It also reduces the risk of heart disease, particularly sudden cardiac death.

4.      Exercise: Aerobic exercises like running, walking and swimming strengthen your heart and cardiovascular system. It improves blood circulation sends more oxygen to your body. It lowers blood pressure, reduces stress, and improves sleep. You will feel calm and relaxed apart from being fit and healthy.

5.      Relaxation: When you unwind, you slow the heart rate, reduce blood pressure, and also reduce stress.  Yoga, Tai Chi, and meditation are some of the ways to promote relaxation. You can also look for friends and laugh out loud. Listening to music is another effective way to lighten up. Relaxation may help decrease the body’s inflammatory responses. Inflammation is a key factor in heart disease.

Do the right things to look after your heart.

20 Delightful Ways to Boost Your Well-Being

20 Delightful Ways to Boost Your Well-Being

"I believe the recipe for happiness to be just enough money to pay the monthly bills you acquire, a little surplus to give you confidence, a little too much work each day, enthusiasm for your work, a substantial share of good health, a couple of real friends and a wife and children to share life's beauty with you."

~J. Kenfield Morley

According to the Oxford Advanced Learner’s Dictionary, well-being is general health and happiness. I like the simple explanation and I can think of many ways to promote your well-being:

1.      Positive mental attitude: It is about looking at the bright side of things. When you face a problem you take it as a challenge and look for a solution instead of dwelling on the issue. Be willing to accept constructive criticism and make changes for the better. Instead of fear, you fill your mind with confidence and take quick action.

2.      Eat healthily: You are what you eat. Have more vegetables and fruits. Drink a lot of water instead of sugary beverages. Eating simple food at home is better than fast food outlets. Eating right will give you energy and health. Eat less but more often and do not skip your breakfast.

3.      A close-knit family: What do you get at home? Peace of mind, sanity, the laughter of your children, and your pet dog wagging its tail waiting for you. A home is a heaven on earth when you play an active role as a husband or wife and a father or mother and friend to your children.

4.      Friendship: Enjoy and treasure the relationships. Friendship is to share, care, have fun and be together in happiness and sadness.

5.      Exercise: The greatest wealth in life is your health. To be healthy and happy is to exercise every day. As an example, it’s uplifting to jog and sweat it out.

6.      Sleep well: A good night’s sleep is the best thing you can do to restore damages done to your body after a stressful day at work. You will regain your energy and freshness after sleeping soundly for eight hours.

7.      LOL: As we grow older we do not laugh as often as we used to be. Visit Facebook and Pinterest and look at funny quotes and images. You will be amused and laugh out loud.

8.     Something to do every dayMy dream is to be the No. 1 blogger in Malaysia. I am excited and enthusiastic about it. Go after your dreams.:Life is about living your dreams passionately. Dreams give you direction and hope in life, something to look forward to each day.
9.      Work: Happiness at work is to like what you do and enjoy it. Work diligently with your heart and soul, look after your reputation, keep promises and build trust. When you work hard and smart, you will feel good about yourself.

10.  Live in the moment: Happiness is here and now and not in the future or the past. Be mindful of what you do and enjoy the process of doing the task at hand. When you are eating savor the food and don’t watch TV or do anything else. When you play you play hard.

"The secret of health for both mind and body is not to mourn for the past, worry about the future, or anticipate troubles, but to live in the present moment wisely and earnestly."
~Buddha

11.  Financial independence: Financial well-being is debt-free and having sufficient amount to live the golden years.

12.  Gratitude: Filling your heart with thankfulness and appreciation is the way to get spiritual well-being. The key to wellness is kindness, forgiveness, and contentment.

13.  Balanced life: Work is important so is your family. Strike a balance between the two to enjoy your work and your family.

14.  Choose: Your life is the sum of all your choices. The wise thing to do is to choose things that bring you happiness.

15.  Be with nature:  The best thing in life is free. Go outdoors and enjoy the sunshine and fresh air. Take a jungle trek, enjoy the sea breeze on the beach and walk along the river bank and watch t the boats pass by. Jog in the park, walk the dog, and watch the moving clouds. These are some of the marvelous things you can in the open.

16.  Change: Doing the same old thing every day is boring.  Do things differently and make changes in life. Take on new challenges to stretch your capabilities and live a more interesting and rewarding life.

17.  Just do it: Instead of delaying, take immediate action to drive away fear and anxiety. Acting builds confidence.

18.  Go away: See new places and people. Experience new things to enrich your mind.

19.  Be inspired and motivated: Read and be inspired by stories of disabled people who are able to live normally and happily.  Be motivated by quotes from famous people. Read daily and you will look at life more wisely.

20.  Keep learning: Life is about learning, when you stop learning you stop living.

Life is about health and happiness. Are you living in a state of well-being?
