10 Things to do After Work

What do you do after work? It is important to balance your life doing things you like and taking care for your family. Here are 10 things you should do after work:   

1.      Exercise: After work, the most refreshing thing to do is to exercise your body like going for a jog. It is good to move the body after sitting all day long in the office. Jogging is the best way to release tension and ease your mind. You will feel alive after a good work out. 

2.      Dinner with family: Having dinner at home is the best thing to do after work. Home-cook meal is healthy and it cost less than eating out. The most precious thing is that you are spending time with loved ones at home

3.      Help in household chores: It is good to do the washing up, water the plants and walk the dog. Sharing is caring. 

4.      Communicate with family members: Instead of watching TV, share the events of the day. Discuss outstanding issues and decide on things to do on the following day. 

5.      Help your children with homework: Listen to your children and find out what you can do to help them out in their homework. Your children will be very pleased with your presence when they need you the most. 

6.      Work on your personal project: Do you have a personal project like writing an eBook? It is the best time to do while your children are working on their school assignments.

7.      Do thing as listed in your personal to-do list: Check your personal to-do list. Do you need to write a check or work on your tax return?

8.      Prepare a to-do list for the following day: It is also the best time to get ready a list of things you need to do the following day. The most important things should be on top of your list. It is always a good habit to get ready.

9.      Journal or diary: Do you have the habit of writing journal or diary? It is a powerful habit to review the success and failures in a day. It is also beneficial to record things that you feel grateful and appreciative about. You know where you stand and you want to do better the next day. 

10.  Before going to bed: What are your bedtime rituals? I find that reading a chapter of a book is a good habit before you call it a day.
