Getting The Right Attitude to be Happy



Are you getting the right attitude to be happy? The right frame of mind will get you happiness and well-being every day:  

·         Happiness is now: Do you postpone your happiness to some future events that may or may not happen?  Do you always think of the good old days and find yourself missing something in life and be sad? The past has gone and the future only comes one day at a time. If you don’t feel good and be happy now, will you be happy later? It is your attitude that determines your happiness.   Change your thinking and develop a feeling of happiness now because life is short and uncertain. 

Happiness is not something you postpone for the future; it is something you design for the present.

·         You don’t go after happiness directly: Happiness is elusive. There is no such object as happiness to go after. Happiness is within you in your life. It is how you think and what you do every day that get you the delightful feeling of cheerfulness and satisfaction.

Happiness is a by-product. You cannot pursue it by itself.

·         Happiness does not fall into your lap: Happiness will not come to you automatically. Happiness has to be worked on. Work hard and smart will bring you happiness. Solving problems will thrill you and uplift your mood.  Exercise daily will get you fitness and happiness.  Spend quality time with family will get you more than just happiness. Happiness is hard work. You cannot be happy if you do nothing.

·         Getting more things in life does not bring you more happiness: If your happiness is attached to things beyond your control, you will not be happy.  You keep thinking about things you want to get which you do not have. There is no end to it. Technology evolves, the moment you get a new gadget, it is outdated.  Be happy with what you have is the right attitude.

·         Gratitude is for happiness: Be thankful, appreciative and grateful in life. The feeling of abundance is the way to happiness and good feeling. At the end of each day think and write a few things to be happy about.

·         Life without obstacles and problems do not warrant happiness: Do you think you will be happy without problems in life? The only people without problems are those in the cemetery. Happiness is getting creative in overcoming problems in life; you will be stronger, wiser, more confident and happier.  The fact is that life is not a bed of roses. 

·         Reaching out is happiness:  Taking action getting the right things done is the way to be happy.   Share, care, give, participate, contact and connect, be kind, be interested, like and love.
