Take the following precautionary measures for the safety of your child when he is alone at home:

7 Smart Ways to Protect Your Children
 
  1. Inform your child not to tell anyone or someone on the phone that he is alone at home.
  2. Teach your child to tell the person at the door or on the phone like, "My father is having a nap."
  3. Teach your child the right number to call in case of emergency. Tell your child that he should call your handphone or your office whenever necessary. Keep a list of the emergency telephone numbers by the side of the telephone.
  4. Make sure that your child is able to lock and unlock all windows and doors.
