Avoid stress

Life is indeed stressful and the best policy you can adopt is to react to such dreadful situations positively. There are other ways to reduce stress and lead a healthy and happy life:

  1. Avoid working more than  what you can take: Working long hours every day is not the productive way to work. You can't sustain your concentration and it is stressful when you work more than 12 hours daily. Your performance suffers and your family life is affected negatively.
  2. Avoid being pessimistic: Be realistic that life is not a bed of roses. Be prepared to accept setbacks, defeats and disappointments. It is important for you to accept and react constructively when things are not turning out as what you have  expected. Be resilient and ready to bounce back.
  3. Avoid family conflict: Happiness at home is of paramount importance. Harmony at home will manifest peace of mind in you  at work and avoid stress. The key is a balanced life between work and family.
  4. Maintain your health and fitness: The most effective way to fight stress is to maintain health and fitness. Daily exercise is one of the best ways to be calm, alert and energized. Move more and watch less TV. Being healthy is the best insurance to stay away from sickness.
  5. Avoid the thoughts of getting more wants in life: Be appreciative of what you have and thinking less of more wants is the way to lasting peace of mind and a stress free life.
  6. Go slow: Don't get into a stressful situation by trying to rush about and get more things done. Paying attention and concentrating on a few important tasks are the right way to work. For fast-acting relief, try slowing down ~ Lily Tomlin
  7. Take breaks: Taking breaks at work is an effective way to relieve stress, clear the clutter in your mind and regain your energy. When you resume working you will feel refreshed.   8. Develop a positive mental attitude: Decide and change your thinking. Look at life on a bright note. Be optimistic about the future. A positive attitude builds confidence and determination in you and you will be hopeful.
  9. Sleep well: Sleep is the best way to regain your energy and your sanity from a stressful day at work. A good night's sleep is what you can do to sustain your well-being.
  10. Achievable goals: Believe in yourself that you can get what you want in life. Your goals are your dreams, aspiration and your vision. To be meaningful, your goals should be challenging and yet attainable when you work hard and smart. Life is stressful and frustrating when you aim too high and it is not within your reach.
  11. Gratitude: You experience peace of mind when you express kindness, appreciation and love. Thinking of getting even and  taking revenge can  only bring you stress and a racing heart.
  12. Have fun: Life should be happy and enjoyable. Take time out to relax and unwind. What do you like best; painting, playing a musical instrument or listening  to soothing music? The mark of a successful man is one that has spent on entire day on the bank of a river without feeling guilty about it.
