Healthy Bones and Joints

 Healthy Bones and Joints

As a person grows older, it is necessary to pay particular attention to the bones and joints.

To maintain healthy bones and joints especially cartilage, I consume a capsule containing crystalline glucosamine sulphate and chondroitin sulpahte. I also take a tablet every day consisting of calcium carbonate and vitamin D to maintain strong bones

Crystalline glucosamine sulphate

Glucosamine is found naturally in the body and can be obtained from natural sources such as crab shells, lobsters, and other shellfish. A study on humans with glucosamine has been going on for over forty years. It is now a fast-growing favorite supplement. Glucosamine is best known for its healing properties for osteoarthritis.

It protects and promotes healthy cartilage, lubricates joints and supports joint mobility and flexibility

Chondroitin sulphate:

It is a major component of healthy cartilage. It is also found naturally in the body. It decreases as a person gets older or when people suffer from arthritis and osteoarthritis.

It is known to create more elasticity in the cartilage providing better movement for the joints. As supplement chondroitin is extracted from animal or shark cartilage. It is helpful in such conditions like osteoarthritis, arthritis, inflammation, sports injuries and tendon, and ligament damage

Calcium carbonate

Prolonged, inadequate intake of calcium causes weak bones (osteoporosis) The National Institutes of Health recommend 1000 to 1500 mg of calcium per day as part of a regimen to prevent the loss of bone that is associated with aging

Vitamin D

Vitamin D controls calcium absorption to help the body build strong bones and teeth and maintain muscle strength. Vitamin D can be made by direct exposure to sunlight.

Do you find pain, stiffness, swelling, or limited movement of your joints? Consult your doctor to find out the needs to take the above supplements
