Building a positive relationship with your boss

There is an important statement in human relationships: When you give others what they need, they will in turn more likely to give you what you need. The fact is that we appreciate people who help us achieve our goals. Building a positive relationship with your boss is no difference. Follow the advice of Dr. Ross West. He recommends the following guidelines in his book," How to be happier in the job you sometimes can't stand":

  1. Help your boss to achieve his goals
  2. Be trustworthy.
  3. Compliment your boss on doing something right. However, you must be sincere and honest in your praise and be very specific about it.
