You create your own happiness at work. The secret is your positive attitude at the workplace. The more satisfaction you get out of your work, the happier you will be. Here are the ways to work productively and get lasting happiness at the workplace:
1. Seek improvement: When you are interested in your work, you will, naturally, find ways to work better. You think of more efficient ways to do things and you learn from the successful ways of others and think about how you can apply the methods to suit your needs. Happiness is finding new ways to work more efficiently.
2. Work with your heart: To work with your heart is to take responsibility for what you do. You work diligently because your work is a reflection of your attitude. People do not remember how you get things done but they do remember the kind of work you have produced. Protect your reputation and allow others to trust your work.

3. Be productive: Working smart is the way to get fulfillment, satisfaction, and happiness out of your work. To be productive is to be able to work less and accomplish more. It means you are efficient and effective in doing the right thing at the right time in the right way.
4. Do what you like: Happiness is doing the job you like. Learning to like what you do and developing an interest in your work are the ways to find happiness at work. You work with enthusiasm and energy for the things you like.

5. Enjoy what you do: The way to be happy and enjoy what you do is to pay attention and enjoy the process of the work. Your mind is on the task at hand and you are not thinking and worrying about something else. You work with concentration and peace of mind. You find meaning and enjoyment in what you do.

6. Be competent: You will be glad that you have followers because you know the job well and you are able to solve problems at work. When you are competent, you build trust and authority. Be happy to know that others can count on you to get things done.
7. A positive mindset: A positive mindset is a happy and healthy way of thinking. You look at things positively and it translates into positive action because you are confident of getting things done.
8. Take pride in what you do: Are you proud of what you do? Do you think you play a significant role at work? To be happy at work is to know that you are contributing to the success of the company.
9. Be a valued employee: Happiness is knowing that you are being noticed and appreciated. To work happily is to plan ahead, get organized in advance, and work your plan. Always under-promise and over-deliver. Dress neatly and smartly to project a positive image. Acknowledge, greet and smile at people you meet. When you make others happy, you are happy too.
10. The way you react to problems: Do you react negatively to problems as annoying or positively as an effective way to sharpen your creativity and resourcefulness? Happiness, confidence, and excitement are about overcoming hurdles at work.
