5 Positive Attitudes of Happiness

Happiness

"The basic thing is that everyone wants happiness, no one wants suffering. And happiness mainly comes from our own attitude, rather than from external factors. If your own mental attitude is correct, even if you remain in a hostile atmosphere, you feel happy." - H.H. the Dalai Lama

Your happiness is determined by your attitude. A negative attitude leads to desperation and despair. A positive attitude opens up vast opportunities and lasting joy and happiness. Are you able to answer all questions positively? You will be happier with more positive answers.

1.      Positive attitude of thoughts: When you wake up in the morning, your thoughts will set the tone of the day. Are you feeling good and looking forward to a brand new day with energy and enthusiasm? Are you excited to get things done? Are you hopeful?  These positive feelings and thoughts will create happiness and high spirits in you.

2.      Positive attitude toward doing things: Do you like what you do? Do you take pride in what you do? Do you take full responsibility for what you do? Do you care about your reputation and the trust of others in you? Do you do your best and work with your heart to exceed expectations? Happiness is knowing that you are doing the right thing the right way and getting the right results.

3.      Positive attitude of reacting to events: Do you react to problems positively? Do you choose to look at the bright side of things? Do you do the best you can with what you have? Reacting to events positively is the way to generate creativity and attain happiness.

4.      Positive attitude of dealing with others: Do you smile and greet people you meet? Do you extend appreciation when services are rendered to you? Do you listen attentively with an open mind when someone is talking to you? Will you be interested to satisfy the want of others before you get what you want?

5.      Positive attitude of living now: Are you mindful and paying attention to the task at hand or are you worrying about something else? On the other hand, when you are having fun, are you able to loosen up, be totally relaxed and feel carefree? Be here and now to enjoy what you are doing is the greatest happiness of all.

Happiness is about thinking, acting, reacting, and interacting positively in the present.
