Productivity is never an accident. It is always the result of a commitment to excellence, intelligent planning, and focused effort. ~Paul J. Meyer
The wonderful thing about productivity is that you get to achieve more by doing less. The trick is to work smart and here are the effective ways to improve your productivity:
1. Plan and organize ahead: There are no other better ways to work productively and effectively but to do forward planning and organizing. A daily to-do list prepared in advance is a powerful productivity tool. You write down what you want to accomplish in a day and you carry the list with you. You free your mind from remembering what you need to do and yet you remember what you must do. You are composed and self-assured to start a new day. A to-do list gets you a sense of achievement when you cross out those things that you have done with.
2. Be focus: To be the focus is to be enthusiastic about what you want to do. When you have the intention to do something, you pay attention and work with energy. You follow your to-do list and work accordingly.
3. Do what is important: Do not get overwhelmed. The smart way is to have a short to-do list and pay attention to what is important. When you ask me: what is the most important single task in blogging? My simple and yet productive answer is article writing. When there is nothing to read, who is going to visit your blog?
4. Give yourself a deadline: A feeling of urgency to get things done is an efficient way to manage time because work expands to fill the available time. When you can do a job in three hours, why do it in five hours?
5. Do it now: Can you get to work immediately and avoid procrastination? Start work right away when your energy is at its peak and your mind is fresh. The longer you delay, the harder it is for you to get started.
6. Avoid distractions: Resolve to get things done and work with concentration and peace of mind. When you are working offline don’t get online. When you work, avoid interruptions and disturbances.
7. Work smart: There are many ways to work smart and be productive:
· Do the challenging task first.
· Take a break between tasks.
· Make changes to make a positive difference in what you do.
· Employ the 80/20 rule.
· Do one task at a time.
· Sharpen your skills.
· Learn new ways of doing things.
· A positive mental attitude to seek improvement.
· Delegate.
Productivity is being able to do things that you were never able to do before. ~ Franz Kafka
