How to build credibility at the work place

According to an article in a recent newspaper you can boost your credibility by taking the followings steps:

  • Be enthusiastic and passionate while dealing with others. It is particularly so when you are talking on the phone.
  • Make sure that you deliver what you have promised. In the long run people can count on you.
  • Do not act in haste. Listen carefully to understand the situation fully before taking action.
  • Stay calm even though you are working under stress. This allows you to listen effectively and communicate constructively.
  • Do not beat around the bush. Go straight to the point. Use simple language and speak clearly. You will gain credibility.
