It's not only enjoyable to have a cup of warm green tea right after your meal; it has other health benefits as well. Green tea can fight tooth decay,keep your gums healthy and prevent bad breath. According to researchers at Tokyo Dental College, compounds in both green and black tea combat specific bacterial activity that causes gum tissue destruction or periodontal disease and loss of teeth. Regular green tea drinkers reduce the chances of getting cancer. A National Cancer Institute study in Shanghai found that men who drank at least one cup of green tea daily cut their odds of esophageal cancer by 20 percent and women by 50 percent.
