Are You in Control of Your Life?

Are you in control effectively?

Are you the driver of your life or are you the passenger who allows others to dictate how you live your life? You may not be able to control everything in life, but at least you can take charge of your personal life and react to events positively. Here are the things you can do to control your life: 


1.      Control your attitude: You can control your thoughts so that you can control your attitude. Think positive to influence your attitude and you will do the right things. 

Our attitudes control our lives. Attitudes are a secret power working twenty-four hours a day, for good or bad. It is of paramount importance that we know how to harness and control this great force. ~Irving Berlin


2.      Control your finance: Do you control your spending or are you in debt and a slave to money? Have a budget and manage your personal finance so that you will live within your means and yet save some for a rainy day. When you are debt-free, you are free and nobody can control you.

3.      Control what you do every day: You have your dreams and aspiration. Are you working on it every day? It’s good to know where you are going, but it is more important to enjoy the journey and do what you need to do every day and like it.

In essence, if we want to direct our lives, we must take control of our consistent actions. It's not what we do once in a while that shapes our lives, but what we do consistently. ~Tony Robbins



4.      Control your health and fitness: If you do not control your well-being, you allow illnesses to control your life. Exercise every day, eat nutritiously, get plenty of sleep, and take frequent breaks while at work.  When you control your health, you control your life and live fully.



5.      Control the way you live with life: Life is a party and it is up to you to enjoy the party or just sit around and watch others enjoying themselves. Wake up early, do Tai Chi or yoga to embrace the fresh air and silence.  Be cheerful, confident, and enthusiastic to start a new day. Get organized and live orderly.  Do what you have to do and do it mindfully. Be here and now, concentrate on the task at hand and enjoy what you do. Don’t look back and don’t worry about the future because it is beyond your control. React and challenge things that are happening to you.  Make the right choice and live life abundantly. Be happy and feel good now when you are in full control of your life.
