Do less and be more productive online
As a blogger you have to spend your time online productively. Going online is a very addictive thing to do and it is essential to avoid wasting time doing things unproductively. Here are the things that you should do less so that you can focus on the more important things to do which take up very less time:
1. Surf less aimlessly: When you go online, be sure of your objective. When you are researching on a topic, concentrate on the subject and do nothing else. You can easily get distracted online.
2. Play less games or not at all: It may be your favorite thing to do, but, when you are a blogger there is no time for games. It consumes too much time and it zaps your energy. When you have time, read blogs of your niche or do commenting. It is more productively.
3. Check stats less often: No doubt it is very thrilling and satisfying thing to check your Traffic Rank and other vital statistics. However, you waste valuable time when you check too often. Perhaps you can do once in the morning and once in the evening.
4. Avoid checking your emails every now and then: Emails can really take up too much of our time. It is better to check mails during your unproductive time in the afternoon when you have done all your important jobs. Be sure to clear all the emails once and for all. There will more the next day.
5. Tweet less unnecessarily: Don’t tweet on petty issues. Tweet about your new articles or when the matter is of paramount importance which involves life and death in a large scale.
6. Spend less time on Facebook: It is good to get connected online to grow your blog readers However, set a time limit to avoid going overboard.
7. Chat endlessly: It is another unproductively thing to do. It is better to read articles and get new ideas to write your next article.
8. Focus on the most important things: Posting, joining blog carnivals, pinging your new articles to social networking sites are some of the important things to do and they take up very little time like 15 minutes. You spend so little time but it is so effective to grow your blog and readership.
9. Rest your eyes: Taking breaks is crucial to rest not only your eyes but your mind as well. Don’t glue too long to the monitor, but take frequent breaks to restore your productivity.
10. Spend time productively offline: It is equally important to spend time offline to scan newspaper headlines, read magazines to stimulate your creative mind and write more unique and original articles.
Are you spending your time productively online?
