Success is about doing the right things. However, getting the right things done requires 7 positive habits. Here are the 7 ways to determine your personal success in life:
1. Take action: You know what to do in order to get what you want in life, but are you doing it? You don’t achieve success when you do not take action. Taking action is not overwhelming because it is about getting started and taking one small step at a time and doing it every day and not once in a while. It is not too much to do, right? Developing the habit to start small and do it consistently is the way to achieve success.

2. Make changes: This is also about taking action. This is to change and replace your bad habits with good ones. Again, you know what to do and you find it difficult to change your die-hard habit. Think of the transformation and the benefits you will get when you give up old habits like smoking and take up an exercise regimen. Take action, get it started right away in a small way and do it every day and build up the habit.

3. Personal care and well-being: What are the positive habits? I can think of the following:
· Sleep early and get up early.
· Have your breakfast, eat nutritiously, consume more fruits, vegetables, and less meat. Eat out less especially at fast-food outlets to avoid fat, sugar, and salt. Drink water throughout the day.
· Take breaks while at work
· Go slow and work in a relaxed mood to avoid stress
· Exercise every day to be fit, energetic, and healthy
· Avoid bad habits like drinking in excess and smoking
· Get organized in advance and be orderly in daily living.
4. Learn: Knowledge is power and the application of knowledge is the way to be competent, productive and achieve success. The acquisition of knowledge is an ongoing process. Get into the daily habit of reading, exploring, learning, and asking questions.
5. Positive mental attitude: Are you optimistic? Do you always think positively? Your thoughts will dictate your attitude and action. Positive thoughts promote the right attitude and the right way to act. When you think your family is important, you will not hesitate to say no when you are asked to join your friends at a pub.
6. Financial freedom: What is your money habit? Do you live within your means?
Do you earn and save instead of spending it all? Success is not getting into debt. Financial freedom is building your wealth to achieve financial independence.
7. Synergize: To work and collaborate with others is to achieve more than what you can do alone. Capitalizing on the strengths of others to complement your own is the way to attain greater success. Getting into the habit of cooperating with others for mutual success is the way to go.
