7 Ingredients to be Successful
No one has success until he has the abounding life. This is made up of the many-fold qualities of energy, enthusiasm, and gladness. ~ L. Whitney
Success is more than just running a profitable business or holding a top post in a company. True success is about living a balanced life.
1. Getting happiness: To be happy is to have a positive mindset. Be hopeful, confident, and optimistic about life. You are enthusiastic about life because you always get up early and eager to welcome a new day and do your favorite things.
Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success. If you love what you are doing, you will be successful. ~Albert Schweitzer
2. Live in the now: Are you having peace of mind? To live in the present is to have no thoughts of yesterday and tomorrow and just pay attention to the work at hand. You are aware and alert of what is going on around you and react to things positively. In addition, wanting less and be contented with a simple lifestyle is a wonderful way to be calm and feel good about yourself.
3. Be healthy and energetic: You are living in abundance when you are healthy and fit with robust energy. Because life is not a bed of roses, the fitter you are, the better you will be able to face negativity in life.
4. The journey of life: The most important thing in life is to enjoy the journey, In other words, do what you like and enjoy what you do. You will find meaning in life and get fulfillment when your daily life is uplifting and satisfying. It does not mean that life is smooth going all the way. You will face challenges along the way with greater resolve and determination.
Success is a journey, not a destination. The doing is often more important than the outcome. ~Arthur Ashe
5. Financially independent: Your ability to manage your personal finance well and build wealth and not debt is another important aspect of your life. It means you live within your means and there is a surplus fund to save and invest.
6. A learning attitude: To get ahead you have to stay up-to-date by continuous learning. Accepting new things in life and embracing changes is the way to be successful. The more you learn, the more knowledgeable you will be and the more you will be able to share with others.
7. Relationships: Have you heard the song “People” by Barbra Streisand. According to Wikipedia, the song asserts that "people who need people" — that is, people who love others and are not emotionally cut off from them — are the "luckiest people in the world". Building relationships is about love and be loved. A strong family tie and a closely connected circle of friends are the best things you can have in life. You may be far apart but you are close at heart. If you are successful in business and you have a broken family, you are missing the most important thing in life and your life is no longer a success, but full of anguish.
He has achieved success who has lived well, laughed often, and loved much; who has gained the respect of intelligent men and the love of little children; who has filled his niche and accomplished his task; who has left the world better than he found it, whether by an improved poppy, a perfect poem, or a rescued soul; who has never lacked appreciation of earth's beauty or failed to express it; who has always looked for the best in others and given them the best he had; whose life was an inspiration; whose memory a benediction. ~Bessie Stanley
