Are you doing it now?

Do it now

Your success or failure is the difference between action and inaction. There are many advantages to taking action now or never:

·         A grand plan: A plan is just a plan until you take the first step. Be motivated by what you can achieve by carrying out the plan. An idea to do things differently in the office will further improve your productivity   Get started and do it now.

·         Solving a problem: Don’t dwell on a problem too long. Think and act quickly before a problem gets worse and complicated. When a solution is not workable, at least you can learn from it and move on and try another one until the problem is settled. It is better than doing nothing and allowing a problem to be unmanageable.

·         Reaching your goals: Getting what you want in life is the result of getting things done daily over a long period of time. Keep your goals in view and just do what you need to do every day. Over time you will achieve your weekly, monthly yearly and ultimate goals.

·         Honor your promises: Don’t give empty promise to your children. Don’t let them down. When you have promised to take them to the beach. Make a note in your diary on a coming Sunday and go for it. There will be no regret and you can be truly free and relaxed on such a rest day. When you postpone it, it is most likely it will be postponed forever. At work, promise to deliver and deliver as promised is the way to gain trust and build your reputation.

·         Act on your New Year’s resolutions: New Year resolutions are usually about changing of bad habits to good ones like eating breakfast, getting up early, exercising daily, controlling your weight and giving up smoking. Just do one thing at a time and do it slowly. It takes time to change a habit. Get it started today and do it daily to allow a good habit to take root. Don’t dampen your spirits and be discouraged by involving in more than one habit change.

The way to get success is to act now, go slow, take a small step and do it daily to become a lasting habit.

Just do it and be successful

Do it now

Every day we are bombarded by information, books and articles telling us how to be successful in life. We know what to do, but most of the time we don’t do it.  Knowing the right things to do is one thing and doing it is another. The problem is to take action and do it. To do something new is to get rid of your old habit and replace with a new one. Here are a few suggestions to get you started

  1. When there is no change: Just remember that you cannot expect to make progress in life when you don’t make changes. When there is no progress, it means there will be  no growth and no success
  2. Set goal: The most important thing is to choose just one goal which means a lot to you. Focus on one goal is easier to attain than having too many goals. As an example, you know the benefits of getting up early and you want to change your old habit and be an early riser.
  3. Think of the benefits: Identify all the benefits of getting up early such as to exercise, have a leisurely breakfast, plan ahead and do things without rushing about with less stress. You will be motivated by all these plus points to start a new day early.
  4. Do it now: Get up early first thing in the morning tomorrow, don’t choose the “right day” to start off. The day will never come. Just get up 15 minutes earlier than before and gradually you will be able to get up an hour earlier,
  5. Do it every day: Make it a lasting and beneficial habit. Tell yourself that you are capable of making changes for the better in life.

Now that you are enjoying the benefits as an early riser, you can move on to achieve your next goal and the next. Making changes in life bring you more success.

A Lesson Learned in Blogging

Blogging
I am very interested in blogging and I know there is a lot of information and tips available on the Net to help me to achieve success and so I read feverously and I get good tips by reading articles of successful bloggers such as Darren Rowse, Glen Allsopp, Daniel Scocco, Brian Clark and Caroline Middlebrook. The trouble is that I have got the message but things are not happening at my blog. Why?

There is a very simple answer. I have not taken the necessary action as recommended by successful people.

I think success and failure are just that. You know what to do but when you have failed to take action there is no way to be successful

There are three things I know I must do in order to succeed in blogging - writing original articles on a regular and consistent basis, marketing your blog, and building relationships with other bloggers. There is very little that I have done to get involved with other bloggers. Here are some of the things that I know I should do but I have not gotten to do it:

Create outbound links to relevant and high linking blogs
Participate in forums
Accept the request to participate in worthy causes
Comment on other related blogs
Get to know other bloggers in my niche and be connected

The reality is that when you are not interested in other bloggers, they will not show interest in you. From now on I will read less and take action more. There is no point in reading a lot and know what to do but not doing anything about it.
