A new day is a fresh beginning. To make the best of a new day here are the ways to do it productively: 

1.      Zest:  Feel good about yourself and ready to take on a new day with energy. You will look forward to a new day with enthusiasm and excitement.

2.      Positive: Start a new day with a positive mental attitude. Be confident, hopeful and expect wonderful things to happen.

3.      Focus: Avoid thinking about the past or the future. A new day is a time to focus on the present and live every moment. Concentrate on the task at hand and do the best you can. You are judged by the quality of your work and you will be proud of yourself.

4.      The most important tasks: You have more creative power in the morning Start a new day and do the most important tasks. Usually, an important assignment is not an easy one, so it is best to tackle it in the morning.  

5.      Early: A new day is only good when you get up early.  You are calm because there is no need to rush about to get things done. Early morning is also the time you can do work with fewer distractions.

6.      Prepared: To be productive on a new day is to plan the night before with a to-do list. You will be in control and ready to do first thing first.

7.      Productive routine: A good day starts with a good night’s sleep. When you wake up you are truly refreshed to start a new day right and get a productive day ahead of you.  When you get up drink a glass of water, stretch your body, meditate or play Tai chi, read motivational quotes and enjoy a nutritional breakfast with coffee to power up a new day.

When you prepare in advance and do the right things you will be able to enjoy a fantastic day. Here are the simple ways to feel good every day:     

1.      Plan ahead and get organized: Getting organized in the evening the day before is the most effective way to plan ahead. The most useful tool is the to-do list. Prioritize one or two important tasks to maximize productivity. A shortlist works better because it is not overwhelming. 

2.      Be early:  When you have planned ahead you will look forward to a new day with excitement and energy. More likely than not you will get up early to start a new day because you do not believe in doing things at the last moment and rushing about to get things done. You will have a leisurely breakfast to take on a new day with energy and alertness. There is time for you to do some meditation and read some motivational quotes to get into a positive frame of mind and face challenges ahead of you. 

3.      Be enthusiastic about your goals for the day: One important aspect of written goals is that you get excited to do what you need to do for the day. Having meaningful goals is an effective way to avoid procrastination and getting into the mood to work without delay.    

4.      Live In the moment: How do you live a great day? Focus on what you do and do one task at a time without hurrying. Your mind is not wondering about but paying attention to the task at hand. You enjoy the process.

5.      Getting things done: You feel good only when you have achieved something worthwhile. Get the most important tasks done when your energy is at its peak.  You will be satisfied and feel a sense of accomplishment. 

6.      Taking breaks: Taking a well-deserving break at work from time to time is a great way to work smart. You will be able to sustain your concentration after a break. Drink water throughout the day to stay hydrated.

7.      Exercise: At the end of a fruitful day, it is good to release stress with a workout.  Jogging in the open is a marvelous way to get some fresh air and sunshine and feel good again after a hard day at work.

8.      Family time: Do not bring work home. It is time to enjoy happiness at home. Have dinner together, do the washing out, water the plants, and walk the dog.  Listen to your children and help them to do their homework. These are some of the productive things to do at home and feel good. 

9.      Think of goodness at the end of each day:  At the end of a good day, it is time to adopt an attitude of gratitude to do a review for the day. Be appreciative of what you have achieved and be thankful to those people who have helped and made it a successful day for you. It is also time to plan and organize for yet another good day ahead of you.  

10.  Sleep well: As it has been a good day for you, you will be looking forward to having a good night’s sleep. Having sufficient sleep is important to start a new day feeling fresh, calm, and full of energy.

It starts the night before. Here are the ways that you can begin a new day happily with zest and confidence.


1. The night before: Have you got the to-do list ready for the following day? Planning ahead puts your mind at ease and you go to bed with a peaceful mind knowing that you have taken care of the tasks for the next day. Sleep early to enjoy the full benefits of a good night’s rest. Your body will be rejuvenated and your system detoxified.

2. An early riser: Sleep early means you will be able to get up early and start a new day to get the right things done in the morning smoothly.

3. What do you say to yourself: Say the right thing and you will act the right way. Say to yourself that you will start a new day with cheerfulness and confidence. Positive emotions vibrate a positive mental attitude and it is the most effective way to commence a new day.

4. Your morning rituals: Avoid the bad habit of puffing a cigarette first thing in the morning when you get up. The first thing in the morning when I get up is to have a glass of water. It is then followed by the usual deep breathing exercise, flexibility exercise, and doing a round of Tai Chi. The morning rituals allow me to start a new day peacefully, calmly, and collected.

5. Breakfast: Do not neglect your breakfast. After fasting for about 8 hours you need nutrition to provide the energy you need to start a new day. As an early riser, you will be able to enjoy your breakfast leisurely.

6. Avoid the newspapers or TV news: The most depressing thing to start a new day is to read the newspapers. The bad news (only the bad news is good news for the newspapers) impacts the mind negatively and zaps the energy in you.

7. Dress to kill: Dressing smartly to boost your confidence and project a positive image is also the right way to start a brand new day


When you have warmed up yourself for a new day you have won 50% of the battle and you will go through the day with the right frame of mind.
